I finally got around to getting the A/C going on my Jeep.
I started with 12oz and then 20oz of R134a and the gauge still isn't rising as it should. Does anyone know the capacity of this system?
I should note that it is working fine right now. I would think 32oz is way too much but I don't know a lot about these systems.

I don't know a whole bunch about A/C systems so I gotta ask:
Was your system converted to use R-134?

It was not however I was told that R12 could move to R134a without any major changes...

Compression should have 8-14 oz. of oil. 10-12 is ideal.
System capacity is around 2.5 lbs.

For 134 you need to flush it and use the compatible oil.

I'm in over my head as I'm not sure what this means:
"Mine holds about 44 36 Freon 8 oil"
I understand 8oz of oil but not the 44 36 Freon....
