727 questions

Post by v8vendetta »

I am looking for a torque converter for my 727. I have pictures of the input shaft and I'm pretty sure it is a non-lockup unit. That being said, the torque converter that came on it does not have a ring gear. I cannot seem to find a non-lockup torque converter without a ring gear. Will it hurt anything to run a non-lockup with a ring gear? Pictures of the input shaft below.

upon further research, I'll think I'll contact Transtar about their CR54H converter. Any other input is still appreciated

It would, but it's way outside of my price range. The TranStar model is $89
