Cruise control works now engine has hesitation

I plugged in a vacuum line that wasn't connected to anything when I bought the Wagoneer I connected it to the back of the air intake where the two nipples sticking out now my cruise control works but my engine seems to run hesitant and a bit choppyImage

You probably have another vacuum leak somewhere. Start tracing down and replacing any cracked or aged vacuum lines. Super common on stuff this old.

Hard to tell without more information but I think the cruise control had it own vacuum reservoir. I think there's one for the 4WD vac motor, one for the HVAC controls for the vent selector and then a third for cruise.
