emission vent

Post by hawgwild »

Ok me again. fixed my gas tank vent line. now when I fill the tank gas come out the emission line. there is no charcoal filter or any connection to anything else. Can I just plug that off or is the vent faulty by letting fuel come out. I am going to drop the tank soon as the sending unit is faulty. thanks for helping.

Your tank should have three fuel lines. The outlet that goes to the pump, the return line from the fuel filter, and the vapor line from the charcoal canister. If you don't have a charcoal canister, then yes you can just plug that port on the sending unit. The main vent is on top of the tank.
