Looking for a replacement part for my 1978 Cherokee.
Fan operates on high speed only.
Seems like it should be easy to repair if I knew what resistors to buy to replace the existing coil things on it.
I thought I saw a thread on this here about doing this, but my searching did not find it.
If someone knows where to find a replacement or which resistors to purchase please let me know.
Thanks

http://www.ryderfleetproducts.com/ryder/ Enter the original part number here. It should be stamped on the resistor. I just replaced mine and this was the only place that had the correct one.

I am working on a 1978, with new 1979 wire harness (from Z&M jeep), no AC.
So should only be the one resistor.
This was tested with jeep not running, not sure if it running will make a difference.
Will need to do the generic is there power at the resistor with the fan switch in all positions, I suppose the switch could be bad also.

Check your relay.thingy in the engine compartment.. the harness on the relay for mine wasnt plugged in all the way so i had only high speed nothing in between or low.
Its on thr firewall. Drivers side for me anyway above the main wire harness..
The relay.resistor plug thing on the heatercore or near it for me is unplugged just has prongs sticking out nothing else.. my heater uses thr one on the drivers side
