Does anybody know where i can find a bigger gas tank for a Cherokee? Thanks

Thanks for the link. I'm turning my cherokee into an overlander and the tanks in those things are pathetic.

Why does it shot application years are 1980-1998???? XJ Cherokee??

There website just lists the wrong year range. It is correct for 1980-1991. I've got one in the garage now.

There website just lists the wrong year range. It is correct for 1980-1991. I've got one in the garage now.

I wondered the same thing. I guess thats cleared up now.

I bought mine from a catalog before they were on the web. My advice is call and ask questions if you are considering one.

Are you opposed to putting it where the spare tire used to be?

You can use a 97 2door blazer tank, it's 21 gallon.

People have also used a 40 gallon suburban tank, but I think it hangs down too far

I used a 42 gallon tank from a Suburban. Once you've trimmed the floor braces a bit, it does hang slightly under the bottom of the stock trailer hitch, but that's about it. By the time I go with a good rear bumper, and maybe solid body mounts with an additional 3/4" to 1", it should well protected.

The only problem I have with that is possible sending unit problems.
