There website just lists the wrong year range. It is correct for 1980-1991. I've got one in the garage now.

Are you opposed to putting it where the spare tire used to be?
You can use a 97 2door blazer tank, it's 21 gallon.
People have also used a 40 gallon suburban tank, but I think it hangs down too far

I used a 42 gallon tank from a Suburban. Once you've trimmed the floor braces a bit, it does hang slightly under the bottom of the stock trailer hitch, but that's about it. By the time I go with a good rear bumper, and maybe solid body mounts with an additional 3/4" to 1", it should well protected.
