YJ came out 31 years ago I know, it makes me feel old too.rocklaurence wrote:I believe a blower from a Jeep YJ is a direct upgrade. But that is a 20 year old design as well.
Voltage is perfect. Every seal on the cab is new. All firewall holes and things are plugged. Heater core inlet and outlet are sealed tight where they protrude the heater box.1979bettywhite wrote:I don't know about stock replacements for the blower motor, but you may check and see what voltage it is getting to make sure it's getting a full 12V. Maybe add a relay to it to see if that helps? I know my blower does not blow very hard, but it puts out some serious hot air. I have to turn it off after a while in the winter time. Also, how are your door seals etc in the truck? May try just adding some insulation in certain places.
Spotless inside. Heater box is perfectly sealed. Vents, ducts, etc all new remanufactured replacements or NOS.SJTD wrote:You did open it up and remove all the leaves plugging the core?
Sounds like you did since you mention sealing the ducting and all but if all that was only on the inside of the firewall...
Any blower that is a direct plug-n-play upgrade with zero modification is what I am looking for. The cab and heat system are fine except for an old worn blower motor. And yeah, YJs haven't been around since my Sophmore year. Makes me feel old too!!Stuka wrote:YJ came out 31 years ago I know, it makes me feel old too.rocklaurence wrote:I believe a blower from a Jeep YJ is a direct upgrade.
