Has anyone installed a cold air intake in their Cherokee or Wagoneer with a V8?
I’m trying to keep things a little cooler under the hood as well as get a little extra air in the carb.
Pictures would be great if you have them.
Sure, the factory did some 40+ years ago. If you have the original air cleaner and ducting all intact, that is a cold air intake. If you require more air than factory, you can modify the air cleaner housing by adding a second snorkel and duct, there are inlets on both sides of the front valance.
There have been a couple good threads about the second duct here and at ifsja. A bit of Google-fu should bring them up easily enough.

Even my '75 pulled air from the front passenger grill area. The only real issue with the factory intake is that its literally an air restricted to help with emissions. But it will keep air inlet temps down.
Sheesh. He posted this twice today here and in the Stock Forum, now I see he posted it here yesterday.
Maybe he doesn't like the answers he's getting in this thread?
