Blazer fuel tank lock ring install??

Im gathering parts for my 5.3/4l60e swap and my fuel pump and tank showed up. Now, ive changed a few in tank pumps before, but haven't seen any that use this lock ring that mine came with. Any tips for getting it installed? I cant seem to get the furl pump to sit far enough down in the tank with the o-ring there to be able to get the lock ring started....

98-02 2 door blazer tank and fuel pump. And the silly lock ring.

Thats the same as my 98 silverado. If I remember right you just push hard on it and twist and it holds it in place. Its been a few years ago though....

A little vaseline on the o ring, push hard, roll the snap ring into the groove. The gap in the snap ring aligns at the locator tab.

I hate it. I chaffed the wires to the fuel pump, so now I get to sleeve them. O well.

Are you using a stock GM sending unit/bucket with a specter tank?

Yes, blazer tnak and sending unit. Finally got the thing installed. Heated up the o-ring in hot water and then started working the ring in very carefully. It was not a graceful process, but its done.

Do you have any pictures by chance?

Mine just doesn't seem like it's going to fit. The tabs look like they don't clear the stock blazer bucket.

What's the resistance on the sending unit? 0-90 or 50-249?
