Well, it's hard to tell. It being a 77', it has the painfully slow filling gas tank that likes to spit back. So I have to hols the spout funny and fill slowly. Best so far has been around 17 mpg. I just got back from Grand Junction and on the way there I got ~14.5 mpg. Not bad considering it's on par with a lifted JK and having the spare on the roof pulls down the mpg's.

Nice fix there.
I noticed the crack right where your original gusset stopped. That makes sense since the shock pin acts like a lever against the top part of that plate causing it to flex. You probably just tripled the effective thickness with that flat stock so it looks like you won't have that problem again.

I'm waiting for the rest of my hog rings to come in. I didn't know there were so many different varieties and my first order ended up being huge rings for fencing.

Details on that bulkhead fitting, please. The Cherokee looks great, I was following it on the mother site but noticed you stopped updating it. Glad I found you here.

twisted frame wrote:Great looking Cherokee that hides a ton of mods. Wow! Extra nice job on those E-brake cables and routing them along the frame. Just wondering - did you happen to need to make a new backer board for your vinyl interior door panels? I'm attempting this soon. Probably going to use some type of plastic sheet.
Frp works great. I've used it on several vehicles.
I think a 4x10 sheet is about $50. I use trimmed pieces for templates too.

No idea how i missed your build. Great thread, and awesome rig!
I really like the center console you built and how you did the shifter.
One day I will wake up and realize that my jeep is complete...one day, I just know it.
