rancho rs44044 install question

Post by Mustang Shooter »

Which direction is suggested to run the eyes on the rancho springs?
Semi wrap to the front or to the rear on a front axle?

The larger eye goes in back. The spring is not centered, so flipping them changes the axle location.

I ran mine in the 'stock' location with the semi-wrap in the rear on my J10 truggy with tons and 42's. But then I wanted to move my axle forward a couple of inches, so I flipped them around.

I'm running mine in a SOA configuration, which is stock for a GM D60. I've been running RS44044's for the past 3 years and have broken two of them. All while the springs were 'flipped' to move the axle forward.

If you are running SOA and planning to 'wheel hard, you may consider taking them back and getting some custom alcan's made up. Alcans are much, much stronger. But if you aren't 'wheeling hard, you will be fine.

Thanks guys for the input.
Nothing hard core, so these will be just fine.
