Did you get a KOA VIP Card? If not then get one and you will save enough from the first rental to pay for it and then some.ross80truck wrote:I am not for sure how many deluxe cabins there are, but I know I have one reserved for I think Tuesday night through Saturday morning. I actually thought they were reasonable priced. I think mine was $154 a night. By the time you count 2 adults and 2 kids plus possibly the Mother and Father in Law staying in there, it is a pretty good deal.
It depends on who wants to know.HOOT wrote:I thought that all burnt up in a huge fireball earlier that night..
There is decent to good service around Ouray, Silverton, Tohelluride. There is WiFi at the KOA. Once you got up towards the trails, forget it. The top of Imogene Pass has good service. I forget the best service provider, Verizon I think.ross80truck wrote:Hoot, yes I got a VIP card. It did save a lot of money.
Is there any cell service out there? If so, what carrier has the best coverage? With my business I am not on the phone a lot while on vacation, but I need to at least be reachable if they have a problem or question.

I can answer that by simply saying I bring all my propane from NM with me. The one time I bought propane for Crom there they not only charged me road tax they then added sales tax on top making propane more expensive than gasoline! I do have to say that my tank is permanently bolted to the rig requiring it to be taken to the station if you are using some kind of bottle system you may get better price. When I go I drag a trailer with a 100 gallon tank and fill both up just before we cross the bordercarnuck wrote:I may be able to bring the grand kids if I can pull it together this year. I'm itching to get the Honcho or Black Jack ready for the trip ! How hard/expensive is LPG out there?
