Re: Interior Tire Carrier

Post by Tatsadasayago »

I've not gone out and looked at the floor where you mounted the carrier yet, but wondering if there's room for a 33X12.50 if washers or a wedge shaped plate was added underneath?
I was just pondering a Cort receiver hitch tire carrier two days ago and would prefer to keep the tire inside. Is it more an issue of rear seat clearance than a width if the tire?
What do you think?

They will hold a 33 with no major issues 1/2 " off the tail gate and just clear the back seat. no extra bracing is needed.

yeah. I have seen one last this week in the back of Bob's van. That's when I met with him in So Cal and got the sliders for Scott and my J trucks. It's an awesome piece and the sliders look GREAT!! Pics to follow.

I was looking for some feedback still no great hurry. I think stock form will work fine since I'll adjust the mounting bracket to the roll bar. Some feed back & pictures would be great. I just acquired a roll bar I'll modify to OEM look. I intend to put the mount in the center of the roll bar. thoughts are a piece of angle iron across the 45degree brace pipes from the mount. I've just been waiting on some feedback to make sure it will work that way. I see no reason it won't

Well I now have installed mine (for some time now). It is working for me like a dream except when I need to take it out because my back window is currently not working :banghead:

I'm running a 31" tire with no issues, I also requested to have mine on the passenger side. It does not interfere with my vision out the rear and it also helps with balance...

Just my input for those that would like one but are on the fence.

Took a while to get the pics uploaded but here they are. I installed it on the driver side and my measuring was slightly off as the tire (31 inch) just touches the tailgate, but it will still close.
