Wow, Boise is competing with Sacramento. Sac should feel honored.

Hope all went well in Sonora last weekend. See no competition here.

Wagswag and I are heading out Sunday the 26th to Danskin Lookout. Probably hit the craters near Mountain Home too if time allows. I'll post times and location later.Hope to see you there.

Cool, Good to see that many FSJ'ers still out there.

See you are running the GT Radial Adventuro 33x12.50x15 M/T's on Cheapy steel spoke wheels. I am running on the GT Radial Adventuro AT II's. Like them a lot so far. I read that those M/T's are pretty well liked down under (Australia)

I saw them on just about everything running around in the outback when I served at Pine Gap, near Alice Springs NT. Those Aussies know what works in the desert for sure!
I found a tire shop here in town that could order them for me.
No regrets at all and these have been the best M/Ts I've ever owned. I gave up on the BFGs and the rest after cutting so many sidewalls from the small 'flipper' shale rocks up on my property.
As long as I keep tire dressing on them the sharpest rocks just slide right off.

You can get them through discounttiredirect.com http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direc ... ruck%2FSUV . Not to be confused with discounttire.com. Same company, but one is a store site and the other is a online site. Usually the store site is a higher price, but it you tell them you will just order them in they will adjust the price to the online site. You can't beat the price for these tires.

LOL, I dont know what this is going to turn out like, but I'm flying into Boise Saturday to help a friend/boss load a bunch of stuff into 2 vehicles, and drive back to Az. Mon and Tues.

I have never been on a commercial airline before (read- small town boy)...
I have never been North of Salt Lake City...
Wont know what kind of spare time I'll have, but if you are driving your Jeep around next weekend, and some crazy idiot is waving to you like a short bus rider, you'll know who it is... :D

Well I guess we need a bucket list to begin with.

I have been wanting to do a few trips. Some I have done before.

Bigfoot Bar would be a good close in trip. Just down by Swan Falls. If nothing broke, would be a easy 1/2 day trip and does have some technical points. At least it did have years ago. Been a long time since I have been down there though so things may have changed. Would probably make a good shake down cruise for the Jeeps.

Longer trips that would be long days or overnight.

Trinity Lakes - High alpine lakes.
Atlanta, Id - Mining/ghost town, could be combined with Trinity lakes.
Jarbidge, NV - Old mining/ghost town just over the border.
The Arch - Deep desert natural formation.
Indian Hot Springs - Fastest flowing and hottest hot spring in Idaho. Isolated in the Bruneau River Canyon.
Watson, Or - Abandoned farming community on the slack waters of the Owyhee Reservoir.
Jordan Craters, Or - Recent lava flow field. Could easily combine with Watson.
Birch Creek, Or - Historic Ranch in the Owyhee River Canyon. Could be combined with Watson and Jordan Craters.

Well There are more, but I'll stop there. What you guys got?
Anyone interested in beginning a trip plan?

I am planning a trip sometime this spring to do some caving (spelunking) of this cave and some others in the area. The trip is about 150 miles and will include some off road Jeeping.
cave.jpg
Planning other trips would be cool too. Spring is a great time to be out in the Owyhees...... :-bd :fsj: :fsj: :fsj:

Hello.
I think that we should definitely start talking about a trip. I have few things that I need to fix/upgrade on the tank and than I am game.
I am getting new tires probably next week, and need your advice on it. I will get 32 or 33 inch tires. I am leaning toward 33 inch, bigger is better I been told, but I don't want to regear the rear. I know if I am under 35 inch I should be ok but want to make sure, don't need additional costs right now.

Check out these web sites for tire too.
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direc ... ByStyle.do
http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/home.do
They are the same company, but there are some different tires listed on each site.

Hello. How is everyone doing? Any updates? How are rigs running?

BTW there is 1990 Wagoneer at JJ on State Street. Still lots of parts left.
