Carb to FI

Post by phlyer22 »

Folks, incase any of you are wondering, I replaced the 2150 carb with a FITECH Go EFI. It was incredibly easy. I have gotten about 30 more HP. An additional 3-5 mpg's. Engine started on first try, ran like Krap but after some timing adjustments it has been flawless. It's attached to a 360 with an Edelbrock intake. Strongly recommend it to all of you.

Welcome! We have an entire subforum for fuel injection and a number of people who've installed different FiTech systems. Their experiences weren't "super easy" but they walk through the challenges they've faced, including FiTechs fuel control center option. Hope to see some pics of that J10!

The big red flag was bragging about HP increase. Sorry, but that's obvious marketing BS.

You would expect a little more WOT power, since the throttle body is less restrictive than a carburetor. But claiming 30 hp is just pulling numbers out of the air, unless you have the dyno sheets.
