Thinking about it.

I know, was hoping maybe someone has an abandoned project.

But I also know where there are two of these in really good shape. But that would require shortening the frame. It would be cool since the 7.3 is manufactured by international.

I found this for mine 2 months ago. I'm only using the interior and maybe a door
I am thinking of gutting it out and making a camper shell of it for the back of my F350 crew cab. The measurements are real friendly to do a conversion into a camper. It would be a F350 Vista Cruiser. 8-) ..

I originally bought this one with a knocking, leaking and smoking v10 for $500. The plan was/is to swap the cab over to the diesel frame. But I keep toying with the idea of getting an old body for it. I cleaned up the orange one so I know I could make a pretty decent amount if I sold it. It is all kind of back burnered right now with winter upon us. The orange one is being driven everyday right now.

I would love to have a classic exterior but have the modern and heavy duty chassis and swap all the interior conveniences also.

These 2 are good. I don't know why the maroon one has the rear door window divider is at the front. I don't know if I care about the brow, but if it adds headroom that would be nice.

IIRC, the rear doors are the front half of the rear door, mated to the rear half of a front door.. ;)

That is the conclusion I drew also. To me I would much prefer that way, it would line up better with the seated passenger when rolled down.

Thanks, I have been searching for them and reading the build threads, there are a couple I haven't seen. Austin's is probably one of the best, I have read through his thread several times. I just can't decide if I want to tackle such a project. The track width is pretty close to perfect.

I am not sure where the panels came from. The story I have on the truck is that it was up-fit by a company called Northwest Truckstell in Portland Oregon around 1963. The truck is a 1963. Supposedly 5 were built for the Forest Service. Three were lost in a train derailment during shipping. This one was originally white and used by the Forest Service in Colorado.

I purchased it for my son last summer while out in the Portland area for work.
