Well, I got the new fangled dual diaphragm brake booster in and the first time I stepped on the brakes my driver side brake line blew out. It must have been close. I was running BJ's braided lines but it looks like the braiding rubbed off from contact.
Well, better here at home than on Black Bear in Ouray I always say....
I am going to do a search and see what is available. Including BJ's. I have no concerns it was a quality problem. But I do need to get some before Ouray and I would also like some 'seat time' to make sure everything is working before I take it out on the 550.
I think there is a blazer line that works. ANy help or part numbers would be appreciated.
It depends on the size (diameter) of the banjo bolt at the caliper end and length. I have '77 Chev hoses on mine but they are a bit short for long term offroading.

Just get replacements then.
I'm still running the BJ's long lines two axles later.
No Issues.

Whatever I got in Moab, from carquest, after the leaf spring took a hike on poison spyder... shearing the brake line.
The trick is to really survey the wheel/tire travel from lock to lock, giving the braided line a nice radius required some adjustment and you cannot really twist it. I added some extra rubber casing held w zip ties.

One advantage of living in the 7th largest city in the United States of America is there are a few local vendors that make brake lines. I went to one today and they are making me three. I figured I would replace both and then keep the third as a trail spare. He said they would be about $25 each. And I got to choose the color. Nice.
The only problem I've had with my BJ's lines is the outer protective plastic coating cracked and all peeled off. Doesn't effect the function and I actually think they look better that way. I just don't know how they'll last without it now.
