BJ's Offroad mid plate

Post by az chip »

Anyone know if the mid plate BJ's sells is from Bulltear?

I have used both and they look identical. The Bulltear one comes with a couple different thickness gaskets to dial in your end play clearance. I don't remember the BJ's one coming with them. But that was also almost 10 years ago.

I got the BJ's plate last year. Don't recall any gaskets beyond the 2 needed to install.

Thanks Tim. Wish I had enrolled in more auto shop in high school. Lol.

I bought one in 09 and it was not as thick as the Bulltear I replaced it with the next year. The BJs one warped and started leaking.

Did you compare plate thickness between the two? You can see the difference side by side. Maybe BJs changed to a thicker plate since 09 when I got one. I never complained about the warped plate and just sucked it up to FSJ luck.

I have not compared them side by side. The one I used from BJ's was back in '06. The one I got from Bulltear was in 2010. They very well could have been different thicknesses I just remember them being strangely similar lol.
