Heater fan not working

Post by Theodore »

With Fall upon us here in TN, yesterday morning i needed defrost & found that the blower motor doesnt work. Checked fuses first thing & came across a electrical connection on the right side of the heater box that has nothing connected to it - am thinking it’s for the blower motor resistor.

Looking around under the hood, i see no dangling wires that would go to it - am wondering if someone will take a pic to compare against what i see? What plugs in there?

If you zoom in the middle, youll see what i’m talking about.

K on my 90 that resistor isnt being used. The one that controls fan speed is above the main wire box thing drivers side fire wall. I remember i once had no speeds and it was knocked loose..

If your fan doesnt come ob at all i would look into the blower motor itself not working. Unplug it and jump the positive and negative wires on the motor to your car battery and see if it works.

If it doesnt i have a spare motor i could sell you.

Here is the resistor that the fan motor uses and you can see mine is empty like yours on the box.. that one isnt used
