Honestly i wouldnt box it in but thats just me.. If you look at the crash footage of them crashing a wagoneer at the brick wall the frame collapses where the boxed in part of the frame ends under the drivers seat it bends down... I think the collapse would be beneficial to helping absorb some impact if you ever do get ina accident. Modern pickup truck frames have points in then where they crush and the wagoneers frame bends down where the c channle starts.. same principle..

But thats just me tbh..

This is going to be a long term project and I only want to build it once, so with that being said I will probably end up boxing the the portions of the frame that are not already boxed. guess I really need to start a build thread since this has snowballed in to 1 ton axles with radius arms and coil springs on the front and a 5.3 Ls/ 4l80e with NP241c. I am also planning on adding a cross member under the engine to tie the coil buckets together.
