Heard back from Serehill the other day. He tested one of the sun visor cups and was very happy with fitment. Said everything looked good. Now I am waiting to here back from Rick who was out of town for a few days. If he says everything is good, I will start production on the sun visor cups.

Looking good, I'll need a set of visor cups for the waggy when you start producing them. In the future if you need someone to test fit parts let me know. I also have a few jeeps in the yard if you need parts for templates.

Just wanted to post an update. I have been making progress on production of the sun visor cups. Her is a pic of the first opp done on some of the parts. It is going to take me 3 setups total to make these. Hopefully I will have some of them done soon.

OK so I am so going to order a set of those for my visors and a set of door locks with logo. Now what about the piece in the middle that the visors clip into? I got one from a junk yard 3 weeks ago. I can send that to you to use as a template if you want/need me to.

Thanks, Jim

What about gauge benzels that work with standard 2 1/16" gauges but allow them to be mounted to the glove box. Kind of like the glove box clock was but with a slight bias towards the driver. I started a thread on this and then it occurred to me you might be able to machine them:

Wanted to give an update. I have been busy, but I have not stopped on the sun visor cups. I am working on setting up the last operation on the first run of them now. Hopefully I will have them done the first week in January.

Here is something else that I did real quick the other day. I was tired of the little mirrors and one of my machinist had some down time. So I had him make these mirrors mounts. Let me know what you all think. If you like them, I will see what it will cost to make a run of them.

I got first dibs! Those are slick. Do they use the original mounting holes?

OK so on another note, did you get a new secretary that can laser the door locks? Can you/them do the FSJ insteadl of the AMC logo now? If so, I will PM you and setup payment. Thanks!!

I did not use original holes on this set because my original mirrors where in my opinion mounted to far back on the door. If I go into production on these I am sure I can use original hole spacing though. I did about a 200 mile road trip with them on this weekend and I love them. They are so much better than the tiny factory mirror.
