NOTDONE is gettin there....

Post by NOT DONE »

Just finished up a 7 month long collection of parts for my 2004 TJ.... Installed it all last weekend and took it out for some flex testing yesterday....

I final tally of the cost:
$651.00 (4) GY Duratrac 33x12.50x15
$150 both axles w/ 4.56’s
$150 (8) adjustable control arms
$125 (5) Mickey Thompson Classic Wheels 15x8
$100 4” lift coils
$170 SYE
$250 Tatton Rear CV shaft
$60 T-case chain
$65 RE rear CV trackbar bracket
$40 Shocks
$30 RE rear swaybar endlinks
$25 RE quick disconnects
$48 Gear oil /T-Case fluids

I spent a total $1864.00… I think that is an outstanding price for all I acquired. If you take out the price of the axles, rims and tires ( $926.00), the lift with SYE and CV shaft cost me ($938.00)

You and yellow... :P

You got a STEAL on some of those parts. The amount of stuff that you got for the price is outstanding.

The one thing I would advise doing is replacing the stock draglink/tierod with one from a V8 ZJ. They can be bought new for a pretty decent price, and are WAY stronger than the stock TJ ones. And they bolt in. Although you would also have to paint those as well :P

I'll say you got a steal! Those tires are going to cost me $912, not counting taxes. I'm hoping I can make a little of it back selling the 35s.

I still say you need a bulldog on it... ;)

I got lucky on the tires.. two day sale at Discount Tire.... They had a $100 instant rebate... PLUS I got $60 GY mail-in.... AND... if you joint Tread Lightly ($25) You get a $100 Tread Lightly mail-in rebate redemption code with your package!

So... I would have paid $911.18 out the door... I paid $811.18 out the door.. then after $160 in rebates... $651.18....

Thanks guys! It all started when a local 4x4 member upgraded his short arm kit to a long arm... I bought his arms... all 8 adjustable for $150.... then I rolled into the axles to a guy that had too much money and sold me his for $150 after he dumped $6000 on G2 44's with ARB's... it was all downhill from there...

Fighting a vibe now.... and I think I got a bent main output shaft in my t-case.... under warranty, so I have a new one coming with a new yoke... we shall see.....

Really like the red/yellow theme. I'm sure no one knows of it but I went to pitt state in ks (national football champs last year!) and that's our colors....all it needs is a big red and yellow gorilla on it! :))
