I haven't seen anything for 80s stuff where I'm living now its rusty rotten 90s stuff with some beat up early 00's !
People are certainly harder on vehicles than I am . . .
Only clean stuff around here is the 70s and older or late model.

I'm going to attempt to fix the trans fluid leaks in my Eagle today (dipstick tube and cooling lines) and swap the NP229 tailstock for one from the NP129 in the Eagle (so the speedo cable is correct angle and not hitting the floor) Next up is rear axle swap, but that will wait till I heal some more and get my Comanche running.
My nephew and my wife both have the SX/4's around the same mileage, I can't get over the big difference in condition.
His is an '83 258/5spd her is an '82 258/5spd both around 117K miles.
Her is all shiny and good looking his is solid but the paint is all baked through. Her's runs like a top his hasn't ran in quiet some time. Not saying his don't run, just the oil pan leaks so it got parked.
Now all these beautiful wagons are popping up all over, onyl seen a couple sedans though they seem to be the most uncommon ?
I hate to say the word rare ! Or rarer ?
My wifes was way over that amount, The SX/4 books in at 3 grand low retail. The nephew I think paid $300 for his from a friend or something like that. He hauled it home parked it inside behind his AMX and hasn't really done a thing to it. Though I guess he got a second interior for it from a spirit.
His was blue on blue, He wants to do RWB on tan with it, than he has an American Motors 290 V8 he wants to swap in place of the American Motors 258 I6 . . . I can't imagine it'll be any worse than an I6 to V8 spirit swap except maybe some adjust for the front axle.
He was talking about maybe steping up to a 390 ! I was like as is your gaining 32 cube's and 2 cylinders, Not mention 10:1 compression versus 8.5:1 compression ! The 258 was spicey the lil'290 will be a rocket and won't over power the drive train there really isn't much for upgrades without getting carried away.
He agreed a simple rebuild and bolt it up and drive was best for this project. I was like save your fancy stuff for that AMX of yours besides he also wants to swap a 343 V8/5spd combo into his Comanche.
Well we're certainly a ways off topic my apologies

Flint, just realized your Eagle has the same XJ(?) wheels as mine. Looks good! Not sure what wheels mine originally had but I'd love to find a set of the SX4 alloy wheels that look similar to the ones that are on there now.

I believe the rarest Eagles would be the Kammback models. The sedans were cool but they definitely had an odd look to them, some might say ugly. They weren't as popular as the wagons but they were in production until '86 or '87 I think. There was also a 2 door Eagle sedan but I think that model got nixed in '83 or '83. Haven't seen many of those. Last but not least there was the Eagle Sundancer convertible...Those were cool!

IIRC they also had an Eagle Cowboy concept that never went into production. Think Eagle wagon meets El Camino.
I don't mind if you use my photos as long as you give credit. The photos from my last post were all found on Google.

This is my buddy's 86 wagon with 24,000 original miles. I drove it from central Indiana to southeast Wisconsin when we picked it up. Drove beautifully.
His other very clean 82 wagon behind my project 86 sedan.
