Unknown band saw

Post by jaber »

Hit an Estate sale yesterday and found this. It was marked $100, and the guy was telling everyone it was half off day, so for $50, I took it home. It has a newer Dayton 1/2 H 110/220 V motor, so I knew it was worth that. Got it home and wired a plug onto it and it cut steel like butter. There is no name plate on it, and has a homemade door for the user side. I spent some time looking at Google images, trying to find one that looks similar, but could not. The base, motor, and transfer pulleys are of newer vintage, but the saw itself intrigues me. Anyway, heres the pics. It stands just over 5'...

Looks like a hodge-podge of home-built and off the shelf parts. The motor alone was worth the price tho, and if it works as good as you say then you got a steal.

Nice! I had a 10" bar ACE 3 wheeler till it was knocked off the shelf in my shed when the roof blew off. I used mine to redo the interior of my house and the previous mobile home I had.(I planned to fix this one, but now we're just going to move north after we sell it)
Check my parts for sale near Seattle
