Joe Schaefer

Post by lindel »

I know it's been a long, long time since I logged on (I haven't had a FSJ in years), but I just heard that Joe Schaefer passed recently. I thought if anyone remembers him (or me), they'd want to know.

That's sad to hear :(

He was responsible for a lot of the tech docs that people use for FSJs. Wiring diagrams, VIN decoders, etc.

And good to hear from you Lindel. Hope things are going well for you.

Not as well as I would like. My wife passed away a few days after Thanksgiving, so I'm trying to deal with that. One day at a time, and some are better than others.

I'm still sort of in the Jeep game, I have a 2010 Grand Cherokee...it has a V6 and (yuck) AWD.

Sorry to read those sad news, first condolences to Lindel, and wishing you some wellness in these challenging times.

Joe was in these first days of BBS FSJ newsletters, called digest... I probably have some goodies on some media back up, cheers to his memory

Sad news. I remember Joe (and yourself) from the old Listserv days.

Lindel, you have my deepest sympathies. I can’t even imagine the loss.

Thanks guys, it really helps.

It's good to see some old friends and "faces".

I haven't seen any FSJs that are worth having that are for sale, and I've only see one J-truck that runs and drives. Kind of makes me sad.
