Looks better than the C5 one I’m using now that is barely large enough and I’m stuck with the c5 pump too, it needs just a little more low rpm flow, should allow me to move to a CBR pump and accomplish that.
The bus I ride is so short it is a yellow Smart Car full of squirrels, monkeys and clowns.

So was a wonderful week in Hawaii. Decided to get back to messing with truck. Have only had a couple of days. I red eyed back from Hawai’i. That sucked bad. Leave Hawaii at 9;00 pm. Get into Seattle at 0430. Lay over till 0945. Then arrive in San Jose at 1230. Get home at 6;30 slept from 1900 till 0700 next day.

But I did arrive home to a transmission shift lever and several other unspoken parts.

Will move back to working on the dash.

Well I got the call and text from Keith my friend at Anderson’s Autobody in Sonora, Ca. They rent from my mom and are doing the body work on this rig. He texted to say his dad was working on doors and fenders. And that the dash was out of the drier for the Raptor Lining on the cover. He took a very rough special made cover and turned it into something I would allow on the rig. I had to do a little massaging to make it fit how I wanted. I also snapped a photo of Keith’s dad working on filling in the trim on the doors. I really like his trick using ten penny nails. Tig welds them in then grinds them flush and lays sealer over them. Old school body man. He was also working on my banged up front fenders. He has a lot of work on them. But so far they look amazing.

So these are the dropped knuckles and spindles for my 1953 Mercury Lead sled. I loved the pour-left so much. This is a disc brake conversion setup.

This is how Carl plugs the holes. He has a ton to do on my truck bed. He has already straightened the fender flare part. If you look back in photos. You would see how smashed in the flare was. Also the end of the fender behind bumper area was destroyed, and it had about 5 pounds of bondo. He is old school and uses minimal bondo and I have agreed to pay to have metal welded and stretched and shrunk instead with just a skimming of bondo. He does love to use sealer.

So you can see we had a spare dash. It will be sold later. It has been completely fixed . And it was done in Raptor Lining as a spray test. I opted for the color matched to future body one.

I have never seen a dash pad done like that, looks like it came out pretty good.

Well been working on the truck a tad bit. But have been so busy not able to really get too much done.

Did get a couple of pictures of one of the fenders Anderson Auto Body working on.

Working on getting the Amp Research steps going. Using a combo set. A full set for a 2005 Toyota Tacoma. And my retired wall display units.

Wow, you're going all out on this build! I like the attention to detail and finding the right blend between old and new.

Looking forward to seeing the end product!

One suggestion - I'd rethink that power steering resevoir mount. It looks like it's going to vibrate like crazy and probably fatigue crack the aluminum at the bend eventually. Is there a nearby bolt you can run another piece of flat bar to and triangulate it from the top?

oooh, nice, I got one a couple of weeks ago, unfortunately several of the spot welds popped loose in transit, oh well, I always wanted a spot welder, gotta see how you are going to attach this, are you going to use the stock chains?

I have not fully addressed that. Body shop has a few ideas. But most of us like the original setup.

And yes the row down the left popped loose also. Not an issue…
