What a coincidence!
I ran the con in my 74 CJ5 from Sunday the 14th thru Wednesday.
We were making our way from the Auburn Jeep Club's campsite at Loon Lake to Buck on Monday when the heli was transporting all the supplies and some flying outhouses over the tree tops.

It was my first time, what an awesome place!! I will be going back for sure. I ran little sluice and old sluice but not sluice box. Went with a bunch of old CJ veterans and they said that this was the toughest time they've had on the trail!
I did see the caretaker coming back into Rubicon Springs in his Waggy. They were getting ready for the Jamboree. Saw DOT in the trail with some equipment starting to tidy things up for the Jamboree too I presume.

I miss the Con. Haven't been since 2009. I like coming from Wentworth, we always stay at the campground after we wheel out of Barrett.

Although I hear Barrett Lake is closed now? BS.
