Post by maccj5 »

glad to be back on a solid jeep site
had some heart trouble that dimmed my lights
but after four days in the hospital and 23,000.00
later i can almost do the same as before :D
also have a quick question that i can't find the answer to
working on a 87 gw put a detroit and 4.10's
in the back can i use a rear fsj cherokee posi unit
and use the 4.10 thick gears on the carrier
and get away with cheaping out on the front? :?:

Yes you can use a 4.10 thick gearset on the front stock carrier. Although I would not bother with the stock rear LSD unless you plan on rebuilding it. I highly doubt the clutches are any good.
