I had no idea this was an option at some point? If it was closer, I'd be on my way to take a look. But it is in Michigan and probably rotting underneath <sigh>.

It wasn't ever an option in FSJs, but that's a clean retro mod! I'd like to know more about it. Oh snap;! I'm on my phone but now I see that's just a regular back seat. I'm such a dork! Still love the color.

As much as that smell of dead nauga's in the 3rd row seat of an old station wagon brings back memories... I can't imagine sitting in a waggy 3rd row being comfortable.?. At least station wagons usually had a foot well.

There was a company in the 80's/90's offering a third row just like that. And that's where that one probably came from.

They were mounted about 3/4" off the floor and had pretty much the same dimensions as a TJ rear bench.

Certainly not all that comfortable, but for hauling kids/teenagers on short trips I think it would be just fine.

I was going to purchase one from Jason (COLOFIREMAN) but they didn't want to sell it after he passed. I'm looking at doing a YJ rear bench now. I believe the latter style with it's floor mounted brackets would be very easy to retrofit. And it would fold flat/tumble to make unexpected extra cargo easier to carry.

FWIW besttop has a replacement rear seat for YJ's? that was close to the right dimensions.

Im surr you can do a 3rd row and fab the floor in the rear to drop for comfort.. Since the rear has nothing there cept a spot for a spare.. just cut up the floor and drop it like 4 inches

I took a rear TJ seat and mounted it backwards in my Wagoneer. Its really tight for an adult but my kids love sitting back there
