Just curious what you guys think. There isa 89 Gw in the jy ive been pulling parts off the last few days. Thinking of going back to get the 2150 off it and rebuilding it for my 76.

i would, espically if it has the altitude compensating bellows, that part alone is worth the price of admission

i would, espically if it has the altitude compensating bellows, that part alone is worth the price of admission ,i would check for any directional play in the butterfly shaft during rebuilds, most vintage carbs have play in them and relates to all sorts of issues from fluxuating idle to drivability issues which vary based on the amount of play , had mine rebuilt by a custom carb guy here in phx, overhauled, shaft re-bushed, flow tested , and run and adjusted on their test bed engine for $250.00, jeep ran great , but i switched over to holly F.I. and would never look back, due to changing altitudes in arizona i can custom adjust the timing and fuel ratios if needed from my glove box monitor, but a spare carb is definitely a good score if only for the parts value.
