2016 Wranger will get a diesel option

I know most FSJ guys don't like the Wranglers but I must say this is a good thing and its long time coming. I really like the look of the 4-dr Wranglers with a lift. Stock, not so much. I will always have the Super Chief but I might look at one of these too :)

Nice!

There are two things I simply don't understand why the OEM hasn't went mainstream with.

Diesels

and

Turbos/superchargers.

I simply don't understand why all gas powered cars don't have a turbo/supercharger and why almost none of them offer a diesel??

Been rumored for quite a while. Good to see it is going to be confirmed.

May come to trade in my '08 come '16.

Blake: Ford is very much going mainstream with Turbos. Every vehicle they make is available with a gasoline turbo engine. From the Fiesta all the way up to the F150.

It may also be worth noting that over the weekend Ram unveiled the Diesel Ram 1500. Using the same V6 diesel from the Grand Cherokee. Will give it the best fuel economy of any full size pickup.

A friend of mine in Italy bought a Wrangler JK 2.8 turbo diesel back in 2008, it runs good, and plenty of power.

The 2016 is also supposed to get rid of the hood clips "because of theft issues" Seriously? in a vehicle that often doesnt have doors or a roof their anti theft idea is no hood clips
