Michigan

I posted this on IFSJA as well. Hello everyone. I will be traveling to Palmyra, Michigan to meet my dads family for the first time. I was wanting to find some cool places within a reasonable time to go too, waterfalls, hikes, or just some cool places to hang , etc. I haven't seen my brother since he was 2, and he is 19 now. Thanks for any input. :P

Wow, long time to go without seeing family. Hope the trip goes well!

Can't help on the other question. Never been there myself.

The only thing I learned about Michigan, and this was what people from there told me.
1. Don't stop in Detroit. Ever.

2. Avoid the U.P. And if you hear banjos, run.

That sums up my knowledge of Michigan :P

Lived in Michigan my whole life and never heard of Palmyra.

I've worked in Detroit for years, if anyone wants a "Ghetto Tour" I'm your man.

I posted these on IFSJA as a joke but this Detroit. It's nicknamed Detoilet for a reason.

Probably need to head about three hours NW. Cabelas is in Dundee (hour N) other than that, its all urban, suburban area.
