Thought I would post something a bit more official here.

Meet Place: Ridley's parking lot Kuna, ID
Destination: Big Foot Bar
Estimated Duration: 1/2 day
Distance/Time One Way: 28.74 mi : 1:11:33

Big foot bar is in the Snake River Canyon just up stream from Swan Falls Dam. It is not named after the furry creature we all know by that name. It is named after the Indian renegade Chief Big Foot who was said to have terrorized the area in the pioneer days. Some more info here.

I do believe there was a ferry across the river at this site too.

I did manage to get my emergency drive working and low range will be fixed tomorrow if all goes well. Weather Forecast is looking good. Hope all will come out and enjoy a day out in Jeep Country. Do not forget your cameras. Should be some good photo opportunities.

It was a good day to get out in the Jeeps. All met at Ridley's at 9:30am ready to go. I was hoping for a good sunny day, but instead we got fog. I do believe the fog enhanced the experience in the end though. Not knowing what was around the corner makes for more adventure. No break downs, or loss of limbs to be reported. One casualty though, I broke off a muffler.

With all the fog I had to rely on the GPS to get me to where we were going. Good thing I took the time to set up some routes the night before.

Luckily I got my transfer case to switch to low range. Had to crawl underneath to do it though.

At the destination, we had a nice dirt course to test our Jeeps in. Lots of fun.

It was a great trip and I had fun talking and wheeling with all of you. Hope to plan another trip in the future with you all. Until then Happy Trails to You!

It was a fantastic day. Very relaxing with just the right amount of adventure. Great shakedown run for the first run in the Gladiator.
