Re: clutch linkage rod

Post by 44bz »

I remember going through that when I replaced the clutch and linkage, one of the more time consuming and frustrating parts of the job. I was unable to find an exact replacement spring for mine. The spring holds the fork tight to the marble inside the bell and the bell crank linkage provides the opposing force to keep it all in place. I wouldn't suggest using jb weld in there but some thick grease might help to keep the marble in place. I spent a lot of time on my back trying to get those pieces all to fit right, not fun...

I found a pic of the fork spring. I found a close match. Not the easiest task putting the spring in. It seems ok.
