Hood release conversion??

Hey I couldn't find anything about this on the forum other than for doing the pig nose grille but can the hood release latches and rod from a grand wagoneer bolt up to my hood on my 77' to make it work?

Yes, I have them on my 77 Cherokee with a Razor grille. I am using the inside cable release from the GW

So did you need to change out the latches or can you just hook up the cable direct to the tab on the release rod?

I used the latch bar on the GW hood and cable. I did not have to modified anything.
