Got CB antenna mount and headliner in.

I'm waiting for parts to arrive in a few days to replace the front crank seal. Also have an oil pump midplate on the way. Hopefully that'll patch it up enough for now.

However - if it looks like snow that night, we will leave out first thing (early) on the Morning of the 30th.

Lemme know if you wanna caravan out there...
I only requested the 31st through the 4th off so I couldn't leave on the 29th anyways. My plan would be to leave the evening of the 30th. Not sure if I would get a room... probably just sleep in the truck in a walmart parking lot or something.

Gotta finish those shirts soon!

What is the deal with "0 vehicles" above? Is Penny coming as the other adult? What site number did you get?

I wanna do Hells Revenge for sure. I think we can even drag Nikkormat over that one.

I also want to do some stuff down at Area BFE. Never been there, but I think there is stuff for stock vehicles to play on too...

Other than that - I'm with BRUTUS.

well near Gunnison you have the black forest area and I think you can camp there.

I would suggest that you leave moab and head down some dirt roads (and some pavement) and 'wheel to the town of Gateway CO. Lots of camping along that route. Then once you get to Gateway, Gunnison is just down the road.

Planning to leave around 10 am on the fourth and wheel to Gateway. Just as you suggested. But I'm a little worried about snow at the top of the road. Has anyone been over it this time of year?

I was going to stay in Black Canyon national park but it doesn't open for camping until may. And everything else I know of around there is too high of an altitude for spring camping.

The Gateway road is passable pretty much year round. I did it last year for the first time. It's mostly a graded road that a car can traverse.

Trying to rig up a CO2 bottle last night to run my ARB's for Moab. I am going to mount an aluminum 5# CO2 bottle behind the passenger seat. Looked at my intended regulator and it says "300PSI max". I am pretty sure at this point that the CO2 bottle contains more like 600PSI on a full charge so I go looking around for other "regulators" that I could use that will show me 85PSI. Argon regulator on my welder goes to 60psi max. CO2 regulator on my kegerator goes to 60psi max. Acetylene regulator on the torch goes to 30psi max and finally... the oxygen regulator on my torch goes to 100PSI! I felt like I hit the lotto! Just thought I would share.

Scroll up :D

I basically wanna do Hells Revenge with the group and see who wants to roll down to Area BFE. Never been there, but I've read that it's on Private Land, is free and has some good stuff. Whoo Hoo!!!

I'd also be down for Prichett Canyon. The Honcho has done that one and I know BRUTUS could too. I dunno if Scott and Shimiok would want to risk it tho...

That is basically why I want to plumb the system for this trip is to see if they leak. I don't have traditional axle vents on either axle so I am curious if it will blow the expansion bellows off or be leak tight.

We will all be on pins and needles to find out :)

I guess I should plumb the front arb again. The oba was runnin the robot's brake actuator. :)

I'm down for hell's revenge. Maybe Sat?

Thinking Violet might need an easier intro to Moab. Has nothing to do with me being rusty after lots of yrs away from the slickrock :)

Maybe she and I will see arches and do eye of the whale on Fri and look at petroglyphs and stuff...

I loaded up the honcho and took it for a test drive.

Everything went well except the tranny decided to start leaking from the output shaft seal. I've had the old driveshaft in/out a few times and now I have a brand new driveshaft.
