Can anyone help me identify what that connector is for? Comes from the same harness as AC blower resistor, but I didn’t find anything around that would have matching connector

Perhaps for a stereo amplifier? My earlier jeep had a small booster. If someone replaced the radio it might explain why that's not attached and there doesn't appear to be a place to attach it. Also, someone purposely wire tied it.

Mine looks the same and my radio was removed for a non OEM model. Don't take this as truth but I think wil e has a point. Zip tie was a great detail point.

Today it finally hit me, after I found another unplugged connector under hood - it's for rear wiper! I guess even though my 1988 rig never had one, they probably started adding partial wiring for them at the factory earlier. One less mystery now
