Oil Pan?

Post by Rook2485 »

Hey guys -
Got a 79' jeep j20 and I ordered a a crown automotive oil pan only to find out it's poorly made and that bolt holes don't line up. Anyone got any suggestions from another manufacturer? Preferably in the US? I see Milodon makes some but they are pricy and I don't necessarily need a 8 quart high performance one.

Any suggestions would help! Thanks!

I managed to pick one up from a FSJ friend because the original has a few dings in it. He used to have a bunch of them. If I was shopping for a new one, I would try one of these...

CheckEBAY under JEEP and AMC engine parts . Seems easy to find a V8 pans there. I'm sure J&W JEEP in Antelope CA would have a pan 6 or v8 . Milodon pans are sweet but yeah you don't need 8 quarts . Does not have to be new to be a solid good pan and not rusty . Main thing is to make sure drain plug and threads are good before buying and installing .
