Right inner tie rod number?

Post by toxicwaste29 »

Does anyone have the part number for the right inner tie rod end for a 79 j20.

I cant seem to find one; the only one I found I believe is a MOOG DS896 but its appears to be discontinued.

You'll have to describe better what you want. Looking at the picture in the parts book, your description does not make sense.

There is a long tie rod connecting the two knuckles. There is a tie rod connecting the pitman arm (at the steering gear) to the long tie rod. Which one? Each has a left and a right end.

Looks like it's a Jeep PN 8123316. RockAuto also crosses that to a Delphi TA5806, out of stock. Possible it's NLA everywhere. There's probably an antique car specialty shop that can rebuild yours - look online. Possible your only alternative is a better used one.
