Does anyone know a method to connect the wires to the rear window defroster grid. The tab on the window is gone, there is just the metal strip on the glass. I've tried to solder it, epoxy it, no luck.
I tried this on my Golf rear window defogger and was not successful. Might work better if you glue the wire directly to the pad, rather than trying to restore the connector.

I tried MG Chemicals 8331D. A two part silver conductive epoxy. attached the bare conducter to the metal strip at the base of the window. Expensive but seemed to do the trick!

I am a big fan of MG Chemicals products. I use a lot of their products in restoring, repairing and designing electronics.
