Temporary bypass for 727 Neutral Safety Switch

Post by FLeetFox »

I would TEMPORARILY like to by pass the neutral safety switch wiring on my 82 J10 so I can test run the motor. No driveshafts yet, so truck will not go anywhere. Can this be done by connecting the red wire in the 4 wire NSS/Backup/4wd indic harness to a ground?

I forget which wire is what, but you'll be OK with a jumper (had to do it myself at one point)... Look at the routing from a wiring diagram of https://oljeep.com/
