So we found this Gem in December of 2019. I had a co worker who just rolled his service truck and I offered to buy it from the company. I came out too the good at 750 bucks for the whole Rig. We were on a Christmas light adventure when I spied behind a closed oil change place the rear of a FSJ. I spun around and we bounced in the lot. The oil change place was permanently closed and appeared to have been for sometime. I got out and looked over the rig with out touching too much. I seen very little rust just a bit in the rear flares and some in the bottom of the tailgate. I lamented to the wife what good shape it was in she got out of her Jeep Jk and looked at it. She admitted that it was in decent shape(better than our own 78 at the house that was out of commission) for a seemingly abandoned vehicle. I said man I wish we could get this! So 2 days went by and wife called around the area where the vehicle was and found the owner of the oil change place was 3 doors down doing fleet service. The guy told wifey that he was friends with the owner of the Cherokee and that hed call and see if he wanted too sell. So two hours later the owner called the wife and asked what shed give. She said 500 today she'd come get it. So they settled on 700 and wife called and told me too leave work early and get a trailer on the way home. After she caught me up too speed I wrapped up and work and headed to Huntsville to see what wed gotten into. I met wifey at the jeep and we really dug into it then. I found a moderately decent vehicle that needed bit of floor pan work and 3 of everything. I called my buddy who had started a shop and asked if he needed filler work he said heck yes. So I loaded it up with wifes winch and drug the jeep 80 miles to my buddies shop

So from here buddy did quick/halfass sand blast job on the frame. We then began painting the frame after taking axles off and looking them over. I had scored a skyjacker 4" lift on market place local to me for 400 bucks whole kit. A Dr put it on his mint 87 Grand Wagoneer and couldnt fit in his parking spot at the hospital. So it sat in my yard for year getting good and crusty so I could sand and paint it. We got the springs installed on the Kabota Orange frame. This was Aprilish 2020

So my coworker did hell of a job on this one 07 Chevy cab and chassis. It's got 250k with a minty fresh Goodwrench reman 4l80e with approximately 20k on that. So the plan was at first np208 or np241 passenger drop. So junkyard 4 hours from me had a 91 2500 suburban with the case. I called it was 2pm hey I pay over the phone with a credit card yall pull it have it ready to go? Nope cash only and wont pull it till your here. So week half rolls by I call him hey I'm on the way if you still got the t case. Yeah I got it buddy head this way we ain't pulling it till you get here. So I say copy and head that way I'm 30 minutes into the trip get the call hey partner huh well we sold that guy last week over thr phone it's been pulled and picked up. So I tell him thanks for not letting me get all the way there so we didnt have an ugly conversation in person. So I begin a 3 week scouring of the south east calling ever junk yard in 300 mile radius no NP241C passenger drop case too be found. I'm just about manic over it. I then find a part out CUCV bout 2 hours away sweet take axles and t case. I cant get there for couple days so rightfully ole boy sells to man with cash in hand.(no holds no PayPal) So I find a np205 local at a reputable offroad shop. I Pickup the 205 for 350 bucks. And then cry when he sells me the adapter for 995 dollars that one hurt cause I'm cheap.
