Put some 31x10.50r15s on. Little low in the front for me, but will even out a little when I build the rear swingout. BJs 4 inch springs. BTW, they ride pretty rough. I'll have some custom 5 inch Alcans or Deavers made for them sooner or later.

I had seen photos of your truck elsewhere, and studied them at length. Our trucks are quite similar so I thought it would be a good analogy.

Are your 4" BJ's springs typical of what they are currently carrying? I had read in a few places that their springs had a pretty good ride and flex.

They're a 4 leaf pack, just like the BDS. No delrin sliders either. When you have leafs that thick the ride is compromised with that much arch. It's not bad, but I have some nice flexy leafs on the back of the XJ. These are nothing like them. To get the best ride, you'll really want to SOA it or spend the money and get high-count custom packs.

My '79 Wag runs on 33x12.5-16s with a 4" Rough Country lift. It's perfect for trail running with some moderate abuse, but I wouldn't want to try any steep climbing with its 3.07 gears, that's something you need to be aware of when determining tire diameter vs. what you'll be using the truck for. Big tires and tall gears are no good for crawling, just like small tires and low gears are no good for sustained high speed.
Let us not forget what our fathers taught us.
