K10/20 Suspension?

I heard from someone that a lift from an 82-87 chevy c/k10/20 will fit the j truck with minor modifications, however i cant seem to find any info on this swap. Anyone heard of this or have any insight?

Reason i ask if my friend is tearing down his 84 pickup and he's not reusing the 4" lift that is currently on it on his new truck.

Here is a chart of different leaf spring sizes, looks like it might be doable just from that end of things.

I wonder if they use the stock main leaf and then the other leafs from the chevy.

GM stock front springs LOWER an FSJ. A 3" lift spring is equal to a stock height FSJ spring. This is because they are SOA from the factory, so their stock springs are slightly reverse arched.

You mean of various FSJ lifts, or of mix and match with other vehicles?

Its on the list of things to do. Just need to gather up some good side profile shots. Which may not be possible for all lifts out there.
