New to the forum and FSJs

Post by Ramses659 »

Hello all, just bought a 76 Cherokee and am looking forward to learning more about them. I have had CJs and YJs in the past but found a great deal on this and want to get it back into shape.

Cheers!

Welcome from Phoenix! You've found a great spot for info, advice and encouragement. That's a good looking rig. What are your plans for it?

Thanks, just want to get it running for now. A few good things about it is the previous owner kept excellent records dating back to 1986, it has a 401, and a working Hickey sidewinder winch. The whole thing is bone stock and touches of rust but nothing major at all. Look forward to learning more about these trucks.

Just noticed the front visor. Do not be suprised if you get a bunch of requests for close ups. They are very few. Very cool.

I will get some more photos of it this week. Dropped a DUI distributor in it today and drove it. Runs great and drives great. Tested the 4x4 and low range. I will get a build thread going and go from there.
