88 Grand Wagoneer

Post by markusj68 »

Passed my Grand Wagoneer on to the next FSJ generation.
A guy gave me the this Wagoneer if I would haul it out of his yard back in 2007. It had dropped a lifter and wiped the cam. After a engine rebuild, paint and woodgrain kit, I drove it untill probably 4 years ago. Life got busy, I parked it in the garage and that is where she sat.
My son got his licence back a couple months ago, and a couple weeks ago he asked me if he could have the Jeep.
He has been doing the Covid "home school" so after his school work we pulled and cleaned carb, fuel tank, changed fluids, lubed engine and she fired up and idled like it had never been taken off the road.
I've drove it this week( and remembered how much fun it is to drive) and almost had second thoughts about giving it to him😁, but he loves it and we have had a good time getting her back on the road.
On another note...it's got me thinking about finding an older one as a new project🤔.
