My 89 Waggy

Post by craigtone »

Was a serious Jeeper back in the day with a YJ on 38's and a 305TBI. Had a dozen various Jeeps since and always wanted a GW. Found this beauty locally for sale for a steal of a price! It needs a tune-up, new rear crossmember and floor patch at driver passenger door shelf. Inside is almost mint and outside is pretty clean for Michigan!

The previous owner could not get it to run good and even put in a new carb. I disabled all vacuum devices and still will not idle so I think the "new" carb is bad. I have a post in Stock FSJ about that. I am planning an EFI swap anyway but just going to keep it stock with the 31" AT's and make a cool family wheeler/DD.

Looking forward to chatting with several of you in the group!

Welcome from Oregon you’ll find a lot of help here! Post some pics of the interior, we love pictures lol

Looks nice and clean, is that original paint? Wood vinyl and trim doesn’t look original
