My Old style Cliffhanger bumper

Post by j10jim »

Finally got my old style (probably one of the 1st ones Bj's sold) mounted. Only took 18 years. When I ordered it, i ordered it setup for a 2inch body life. The guys at Kennesaw Mountain Accessories make it wrong. Made it for no body lift. So I stuck it in the garage and forgot about it. Pulled it out and made a couple of 2x4 square tubing mounts for it and had it welded to them. It's solid. Now I have to dig out the winch (still in the box) and mount that.

Anyway, here are a couple of pics.

Back when a frame repair kit was available in 2005, I bought one for my dad's GW. Turns out the rust was so bad, the GW became parts in 2013. I will never use the kit. Not quite as old as Jim's bumper. ;) Now I don't feel so bad.

Jim, it looks good on the J10. Good job. :-bd
