1989 Grand Wagoneer w/ many extras (California)

waggy - 48 of 72.jpeg
Due to an upcoming job move and the time/money requirements to move overseas, I must sadly sell my 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer including all of the new/used parts I’ve purchased to complete the project. I am deploying to an area where I simply cannot keep or use the waggy. I intended to hold on to this vehicle for a very long time, tastefully build it up for reliability, safety, and for the long haul to enjoy with my kids on local weekend trips, fishing, etc.

1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
- Location: Walnut Creek, CA
- Title: California title in hand, California Plates
- Smog: recently passed May 2020
- Exterior: Dark Grey
- Interior: Cordovan
- Purchased in 2016 at 102K miles, current mileage is at 106K
- Asking Price: $10,500 or best offer. Negotiable based on the sale terms, efficiency of sale, and fairness. Private message preferred. I will not part out. I may entertain a trade (or trade + cash) for a well-running commuter family vehicle.

I purchased the waggy in Ventura, CA (2016) and drove it home to the SF bay area with no issues. The previous owner had the engine rebuilt at 100k miles and installed a Howell EFI. Over the past 4 years, I’ve driven approximately 4K miles (no off road) without incident and incrementally upgraded/updated the waggy (additions listed below). I have also accumulated MANY interior and exterior additions I hoped to install after a new paint job (also listed below and ALL will be included in the sale).

However, 2-weeks ago and 3 days prior to sending to paint (and after investing countless hours removing the original wood vinyl…) the waggy stopped running, my shop delivered the bad news that cylinder 1 broke, and the engine required removal for repair. I already have a sound replacement engine lined up and a remove/replace labor quote from one of the bay area’s most reputable classic car shops for $3K-$3.5K (engine included). **My asking price does NOT include this cost.** Unless you’d like to purchase the project in non-running condition, this is the most expedient/cost efficient option as most engine rebuilders in the area have a 2-month long waiting list and are more expensive than an engine replacement option.

Once the waggy is up and running, painted, and has all of the below items installed, it will definitely be a unique and tasteful build. And as we all know, these rigs net a pretty penny and continue to increase in value. Given my asking price with all of the below items, the new owner could turn a profit fairly easily.

All installed upgrades were professionally installed by California Bay Area shops and purchased via Team Grand Wagoneer, BJs Off Road, and J&W Auto Wreckers. The more rare/specialized pieces were painstakingly hunted down over my 4 years of ownership.

Installed:
Howell Fuel Injection Kit, California Emissions Legal with CA carb sticker (previous owner)
Stainless steel brake lines
BJ’s Off Road BDS 4” lift kit with new leaf springs, Bilstein shocks
Refurbished and polished Grand Wagoneer wheels (w/ matte bronze edge paint)

Refurbished window motors, flextracks, glass channels (all operational)
Rear tailgate window rebuild (operational)
