Going to be some changes

Post by Stuka »

Hey Guys,

Just as an FYI the main site and the forums will be under going some changes over the next week. I don't think anything will be unusable, but things may look strange while I am making the changes. No real point in me shutting the things down as its not like we get tons of traffic.

So if things look weird, thats why :)

Ok, so the new forum theme is on. Let me know what you guys think. Thus far I really like it.

One note however!

If you are using IE7, UPGRADE. This style does not play nicely with IE7 and older as they are not standards compliant. IE8 really isnt either, but works better than 7. But other browsers such as Opera, Chrome, Safari, and FF4+ should be just fine.

I kinda like it at first use. A little easier to read on a laptop, XP w/IE8.

The last one used really small icons and such for buttons. This one is much more Web 2.0. So things are a bit larger, easier to sse and read, and so on.

Hopefully everybody else likes it.

That requires installing another plugin, which I have not done yet. And provided the plugin is free, I should be able to get that added. As it certainly makes browsing from a phone easier.

Tapatalk is now working!

You can now browse the forum using your iOS or Android device using Tapatalk.

As for the buttons, I may switch them at some point, as vBulletin always has the the other way. But it is not a priority right now.

I loaded the site on Krista's PanDigital reader that runs on Android and was prompted to review and potentially purchase the tapatalk plug-in for $2.99. Reckon that part of it is working.

That would be it. They used to have a free read only version, but I don't see it being listed anymore.

If you visit lots of forums, its really handy as its far faster and easier to read than the normal page.
